Hiring a photographer for your event can be a big decision. We’ve compiled a list of the most common queries received from our clients to provide you with helpful insights. Whether you’re curious about our pricing, equipment or turnaround time, we’ve got you covered.
What is the pricing schedule?
Our event photography services are priced at an hourly rate, starting at £145 for the first two hours. After the minimum booking duration of two hours, the hourly rate decreases. The exact rate depends on the type of photography equipment and light setup required for your event. Please contact us for a personalised quote based on your specific needs.
How to get a quote?
It’s very simple. Use our contact form or call us directly on 07896 907101. We’ll ask you a few questions to assess your needs and expectations and will get back to you with a detailed quote. This service is free of charge.
Are travel expenses included in the rates?
Yalding media is based in Bermondsey, London and our photographers use public transport whenever possible. However if some of the photography equipment (tripods and flashlights) is too bulky to be carried on the Tube, or if public transport is not available to and from Bermondsey, we charge a supplement corresponding to the taxi or Uber fare.
For events happening outside London, additional charges will apply.
What are the booking fees?
The client is required to pay 50% of the total price before the event (it corresponds to the booking fees). The rest is payable upon reception of the photographs.
How many photographs are included?
We aim to deliver as many high-quality photographs as possible. We typically take between 35 and 65 photos per hour but this can vary depending on the specific circumstances of the event.
Can you take photos in low-light venues?
Absolutely! We have plenty of experience taking photos in tricky environment such as clubs and gala dinners. We use high performance cameras and lenses and can devise complex setups of flash lights to create very natural looking results.
Is photo-editing included in the rates?
Yes, photo-editing is included in the rates. Each photograph is processed in image-optimisation software to correct exposure, white balance, contrast and colours. We also apply light skin-softening effects and noise reducing techniques (to remove any graininess in the photo) when required.
We can also provide additional editing services in Adobe Photoshop for a supplementary fee. These services include more advanced retouching such as removing blemishes or unwanted objects, adding text overlays or graphic elements or enhancing certain features.
How are photographs delivered?
Photographs are delivered via a WeTransfer link. All you need to do to download the pictures is click on the link. They can also be sent via other means such as Dropbox, photo galleries or USB keys (a supplement may apply).
How much notice do you need to schedule your services?
There’s no maximum timeframe for booking. When the exact date of your event has been fixed, just get in touch with us. Similarly, our services can be booked at very short notice, depending on our availability.
Is Yalding Media insured?
Yalding Media operates as a “limited company” and has both professional indemnity and public liability insurance. Our public liability insurance covers any accidental damage or injury that may occur during the course of our work at your event. This may include damage to property or equipment or injury to guests or staff. We take great care to ensure the safety of all attendees at your event but in the unlikely event that something goes wrong, our insurance provides added protection.
